Hate Crime and Hate Speech. We need the Mother’s Love

Hate Crime: The Repulsive Acts

Several weeks ago, a crime which was taken place in Charleston, South Carolina, the US came as a shock to the whole world. It was titled ‘Charleston church shooting: Nine died’. Nine people have been shot dead by a white gunman at a historic African-American church and a hunt was under way for him. Police described the attack as ‘A Hate Crime’.
But then why did they define it as a hate crime, not terrorism?

Generally, ‘A Hate Crime’ is defined as the criminal actions such as assault, battery, severe damage or trespass to property, or mob actions. In definition extended with a reclassification, it refers to the crimes based on the motivation from hatred of the race, religion, nationality, color, ethnicity, gender identity of the victims and so on. The reason which is not called as the act of terrorism or terrorist is that the young gunman didn’t belong to a certain group or organization, nor do he have the specific political purpose. Because terrorism or terrorist is regarded to contain the use of violence in order to achieve the political aims or the attack to force a government to do something. After investigation, it turned out that his shooting didn’t create political objectives in the military ways, so to be defined as a hate crime. Also he was accused of murder for nine black Americans at a church during praying. People were all the more shocked that his crime was well planned and designed to strike the specific group and even very brutal with no hesitation in short time. Although they are living together in the same country and in the same community, even to call ‘the brother’ in the church, he has been hated a lot so that he killed the black people.

Likewise 2,000 years ago, there had sounded to shout to kill Jesus, the Savior Who came down to Israel with the form of the human. The Jews did the same to Jesus innocent and acquitted as the criminals did commit the hate crime, which was caused by severe hatred.

Matthew 27:21~26 “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called Christ?” Pilate asked. They all answered, “Crucify him!” “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!” Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified. To tell another hate crime in the Bible, we can think of the acts which the brothers did to Joseph. It was because the envious hatred enforced them to plot to kill him. Needless to say it was a hate crime.

Genesis 37:18~20 They [the brothers of Jacob] saw him [Joseph] in the distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him. “Let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him.”

Hate Speech: The Despicable Acts

Recently people call the world as ‘a global era’, which means people should live together. In other words, the globe is no longer big world so that we can understand better than before via various social networks service (SNS). Nonetheless there are still many misunderstandings between the groups and people. ‘A Hate Speech’ is defined that a form of speaking which is usually contradictory to the facts, in other words, it turns out to be ungrounded rumors or manipulated incitements with bias and stereotypes. There is a red-hot issue, which was about a certain internet site, ‘Reddit’ that arouses the controversial issues about the hate speech. Aforementioned site, ‘Reddit’ is like a discussion online community website to give the authority to have the freedom of speech and to get the users to express their opinions boldly with no censorship. One of the extreme racist posted the comment on the discussion website ‘Reddit’, that the crime of shooting by the young gunman at Charleston church cannot be blamed by others due to the freedom of the criminal. After an acute argument through online, the owner of the website is forced to resign and apologize to the families of the victims for her senseless management. Meanwhile it hadn’t banned the users to express all the opinions, rather encouraged them to argue sharply. Here, there is another irrational and repugnant hate speech against WMSCOG [World Mission Society Church of God], their claims eventually turn out to be ungrounded rumors, rather illegal crimes. They are like so unreasonable animals that they become rampageous and behave such a violent way, causing damage to the families of Zion and hurt their hearts.
Even while they are being accused of breaking the system of family, by throwing the malicious libels as well as slanders, they don’t stop threatening the members of WMSCOG and getting worse in their senseless crimes.
These days all the courts of law convict them as the criminals for an offensive crime and enforce a law in punishment to pay the fine sentenced by the courts.

The Love of Peacemaker: The Righteous Acts

The world is getting cold and growing the tension between people, organizations and nations due to gaining the profits and taking advantages. As the Bible prophesied, the society and community is full of hatred, dissension, discord and strife rather than unity and harmony. Why is it going far that way?

It is because of the absence of the centripetal force to develop and strengthen the solidarity in internal relations as well as external relations. Then who can make the world peaceful and unified? We need ‘A True Peacemaker’ to accomplish them. And it is none other than Jerusalem Heavenly Mother (God the Mother) and only She can make the better world with Her infinite love and sacrifice toward the children who are running into her arms. As a beloved Her child, we are doing the righteous acts. And as a result, WMSCOG has been awarded not only the Certificate Commendation and Recognition but also the Certificate of Awards. Even the Presidential Citation, recently.

Revelations 19:7~8 “Let us rejoice and glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride [Jerusalem Mother] has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.)

The reason of the latest award is all the more significant is that we are proved as the best organization, since the Presidential Citation should be given to the most valuable group recognized to be helpful and friendly to the community and contribute to the nation. All the members of WMSCOG are giving thanks, praise and honor with all our heart and mind.
