One is physical life and the other is spiritual life.

Physical life is very short but spiritual life is forever.
Therefore we need to focus on spiritual life.
How can we live for spiritual life.

Even though people spend their whole lives for the things they want to achieve, at the end of their life they realize that everything is meaningless as Solomon said in the Book of Ecclesiastes. When they come to realize this, they cannot have a second chance to redeem it. In spite of the effort they make throughout their life, they cannot have eternal life since they have worked only for the physical things on this earth. That is why God teaches us that we should set our eyes for the spiritual things in heaven which endures forever. Let us work for the things of heaven, not for the things of the earth.

We'll be rewarded according to what we have done on earth.
There're two kinds of believers around the world. Some believers believe in God with the worldly point of view while others not. True believers should believe in with the heavenly hope. That is, we have to follow God to enter the heavenly kingdom, not to gain glories from men.
When we seek the worldly things from God, then, we'll get the temporary, not the everlasting.

What's the reason of your faith to God? Why do you believe God? What do you want to get when you pray to God? I think that it's relevant with the propose of the faith. Those who want to get something for the earthly life and live well in the Earth would be leave God. However, those who want to get the eternal life and live well in the Heaven will be with God until the end!! We need to believe God and work for Heaven, not the Earth!! 🙂

We focus on trying to live spiritual life rather than physical life because we will live forever with Elohim God for the eternal life. therefore we should preach Good news of new covenant given by God the Father and God the Mother at the last age and we will make every efforts to get great opportunity to work for food that endures to eternal life whether the difficulties and hardship came to us. If we follow what Elohim God, Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother directed to us, we will get the eternal life and return to the kingdom of heaven by God's grace and love. God bless you~
