​In a memoir of Tolstoy, there is an old fable about a traveler.


He who was chased by a ferocious wild animal escaped the beast and hid in an
empty well. But at the bottom of the well, he saw a dragon with its mouth open.
Because of the fear of the wild animal, he couldn't go out of the well.


He found a branch of a bush and hold it. But as time passed, his arms grew weak.
Holing the branch, he saw two mice gnawing the branch.


Sooner or later they would eat through it and the branch would be broken and he
would fall into the mouth of the dragon.
Meanwhile, he found some drops of honey and licked sweets, and forgot his situation.


This story depicts human beings who are inevitably to die.


The traveler was destined to die after the white and black mice gnaw the branch.
(the white and black mice mean day and night)
Our situation is the same as his.


Just like he tasted honey and forgot his situation, many people forget this fact
while living in this world and pursuing pleasures of life which can be status, money,
fame and personal gain, etc.


Poor miserable men who are destined to die because of sins from heaven, what
should we do in this situation?


In order to save us, God came to this earth and threw the rope of life. And God
let us grab the rope and taught us where we should head for.


Heb 11:16
Instead, they were longing for a better country--a heavenly one. Therefore God is
not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.


The destination of our life is the heavenly kingdom of Heaven.
Then, how can we return there?


Rom 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Eph 1:7
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance
with the riches of God's grace


Since the wages of sin is death, we can go back to our heavenly hometown when
we receive the forgiveness of our sins.
Our sins can be forgiven only through Jesus' blood.


Matt 26:19, 26-28
So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover...While they
were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples,
saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."
Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it,
all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the
forgiveness of sins.


Jesus promised the forgiveness of sins through the truth of the Passover.
The Passover is the way to return to our heavenly hometown.
So let us keep the Passover and believe in God the Father Ahnsahnghong who
thrown the rope of life which is the Passover for us, and let's preach this good news
to the people of the world!
