Nowadays, the cross is considered sacred by Christians. But It is an idol that God forbade us to worship.
In the first commandment among the 10 commandments, God firmly said that we must not make an idol in the form of anything.
Ex 20:4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
Deut 27:15
"Cursed is the man who carves an image or casts an idol--a thing detestable to the LORD, the work of the craftsman's hands--and sets it up in secret." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"
Historically, the saints of the early church never considered the cross as sacred, but they thought of the cross as a tool to punish sinners with death.
I've heard a sad story that a father lost his daughter in a car accident. Since then, the father was not able to take any cars.
It's because a car reminds him of the death of his beloved one.
Suppose somebody gives the model car to him intentionally.
How will he feel then?
Our Savior was crucified on that cross.
The reality that cross, which was the punishment tool, was introduced into the church should be corrected.
And we have to think about the cross from God's point of view and on the basis of the words of the Bible.

that's right! we can't find about "Serve the Cross" in the Bible. the Cross is just paganism. according to the teachings of the Bible, those who serve an Idol can't be saved. because that is not God's teaching. In order to be saved, we have to follow God's teachings. the reason why we believe in God is for salvation. we don't forget this.
Yes! The cross is an idol that we should not make for God. God commanded us to not make any forms and worship them. However, Christians believe that the cross is a symbol of the church.
