The Bible says that the reason we are destined to die is because of our sins(Ro 6:23). This means if our sins deserving death is forgiven, though our bodies perish, our souls can live forever. The Bible teaches us how to receive the forgiveness of sins. The way to receive the forgiveness of sins is baptism which Jesus underwent to set us an example(Mk 1:4-5, Mt 3:13). Being baptized is the first step and promise we sinners come to God. It is a promise that from now on, we will no longer wander in the world, follow God's commandments within God's fence, and walk the path to heaven together. However, in each age, the way of promise was different, in the age of the Father, as a circumcision, not baptism, it's marked to the people of God. In the age of the Son, when Jesus was baptized, He gave the forgiveness of sins and the Holy Spirit as a blessing and made whoever born again as a child of God. This age is the age of the Holy Spirit, and when you are baptized, you must receive the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit to receive the true blessing of forgiveness and to be born as a child of God. The savior in the age of the Holy Spirit is Christ Ahnsahnghong, and only through baptism in that name can we receive the promise of salvation.
We have to be baptized for getting the ticket to go Heaven. However, we have to be baptized with the three names of God. It means that we have to know the three names of God! The name of Father was Jehovah and the name of Son was Jesus. And then, do you know the name of Holy Spirit who is the savior of this age? We have to know him and be baptized with that name!!
