Figuring out the true meanings of parables in the Bible is so critical. It is because Jesus taught us about the truth of salvation through those parables. As written in the Bible,

[Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world."] Matthew 13:35~36

Which means that there exist some secrets kept since the creation of the world and He would reveal them by using parables.

[The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?" 11 He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.] Matthew 13:11~12

A parable has a hidden meaning in it so it becomes the truth of salvation to those who are allow to know it, but still a secret to those who aren't.

This is why we have to figure out the true meaning of parables in the Bible. Then who can teach us about them in this last age of the Holy Spirit? The Bible says that only the Root of David can interpret them correctly.
