The Bible testifies that all of us on the earth are heavenly sinners destined to die.
How can we be set free from death?

(Ro.8:1~2) Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

When a person is set free from sin and death, how joyful that moment be?
Romans 8 says that God set us free from the authority of sin and death.
For example, let's see the liberation of Korea on August 15.
The liberation of Korea is so joyful and happy, but the process of liberation was not easy.
And then, do you think that the process of our spiritual liberation could be any easier?
When we think about the sacrifice, efforts, and sweat of countless people to be physically liberated, how much more effort would there be to be spiritually liberated?
When God liberated us from sin the law of sin and death, could not have been accomplished without God's great sacrifice, affliction, suffering, and sorrow.

What is the meaning of Romans 8?
What is the law of the Spirit of life?
What do the words, "set us free from the law of sin and death" mean?

(Jn. 6:53~57) Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

In order to set us free from the law of sin and death, God gave us His flesh and blood.
Only those who eat His flesh and drink His blood can be freed from the law of sin and death.
This is God's Covenant.

Before we come to know the truth, we believed that our life on earth just vanish little by little as we got older.
However, we don't just simply vanish, but our life continues though it may be in eternal hell.

"Unless you eat His flesh and drink His blood, you have no life in you." means "You will not be able to be freed from the chains of death."

(Lk. 22:7~13) Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover." "Where do you want us to prepare for it?" they asked. He replied, "As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, and say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' He will show you a large upper room, all furnished. Make preparations there." They left and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.

In order for His children to be set free from all chains of sin and death, God gave His precious flesh and blood, through the New Covenant Passover.
Christ had to endure such agony to open the way to eternal life for us.
The spiritual liberation contains the invisible efforts, sorrow, and pain of our God.
We must never forget that God established the truth of the New Covenant through love and sacrifice.
