What lesson can we learn from the historical scenes in the Bible?
Two thousand years ago, Jesus appeared to two disciples on the road to Emmaus.
Even though they had not yet realized who He was, Jesus testified about Himself not through miracles, but through the Bible.
Luke 24:25- 27
He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
The reason is that only through the Bible can we recognize and discover the Savior.
John 5:39
You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
The same is true in this age. The Savior in the Age of the Holy Spirit can be found only through the Bible. The Bible testifies that the Savior in the last age, the Age of the Holy Spirit, is the Spirit and the Bride.
Revelation 22:17
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
