Why did God establish the laws of the new covenant and command mankind to keep them?

God established the laws of the New Covenant to give mankind forgiveness of sins and the blessings of eternal life.

Deuteronomy 8:1 Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the LORD promised on oath to your ancestors.

The New Covenant Sabbath, Passover, is a commandment of God given to us to bless us.

In the Garden of Eden, God told Adam and Eve not to eat from the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

The reason God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat from the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was to give blessings to Adam and Eve.

We must realize God's will to bestow blessings on mankind through the New Covenant.

If we rely on our experiences, thoughts, and knowledge on the Word of God and add or subtract from it and despise the Word of God, we cannot go to heaven.

Deuteronomy 28:1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
