The Feast of Trumpets and the Prayer Week

All members of WMSCOG observe the Feast of Trumpets. The reason God allows us to celebrate the Feast of Trumpets is for repentance. We have a prayer week for our sins from the Feast of Trumpets to the Day of Atonement, so these feasts are really important for our salvation.
Why does God allow us a 10-day prayer week? In the past, Israel worshipped the golden calf idol, and the first Ten Commandments were broken. God gave the second Ten Commandments to the repentant people on the Day of Atonement. The repentance prayer week begins 10 days before the Day of Atonement.
All blessings from God begin with prayer.
[Romans 8:25-26] But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
