Our human life seems long, but at the end of that time, most people talk about how short life is and that time flies like an arrow.
So, God taught us that God's children need wisdom to prepare for eternal life in heaven, rather than just satisfying physical things while living this short life.

Psalm 90:11–12
Who knows the power of your anger? . . . Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

No matter how much time and effort we put into life on this earth, the results only apply during our short physical life, but the effort and time we put in for eternal life will last forever.

2 Corinthians 3:6
He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

God wants us to live as workers of the new covenant with the hope that His children will enjoy much glory and blessings in eternal heaven.
The apostles and disciples of the early church who realized the meaning of Jesus' message of eternal life and the New Covenant did their best to live as New Covenant workers who spread the New Covenant.
Likewise, we, the members of the Church of God, who live in this last age of the Holy Spirit, consider it the greatest blessing to live as workers of the new covenant according to the teachings of Heavenly Father Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother, the Holy Spirit and the Bride who came as saviors in the age of the Holy Spirit.
