WMSCOG keeps the Passover because it’s the way of eternal life and the truth of God whereas other churches don't keep the Passover. Some people think that WMSCOG is heresy because of the Passover. Then is it right to say that WMSCOG is the heretical church because the church of God keeps the Passover?

First, we should think about the One who commanded to keep the Passover through the Bible.

Ex 12:11-14 This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the Lord’s Passover. “On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt. “This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord—a lasting ordinance.

In the Old testament times, who commanded the Israelites to keep the Passover? God commanded to keep the Passover. God said the Passover is His Passover and it’s the everlasting ordinance.

Mt 26:17-19 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’ ” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

Who commanded the disciples to keep the Passover? Jesus the Savior commanded to keep the Passover. In every age, God commanded us to keep the Passover. The Passover is the truth of God for us. Then can we say that it’s heresy because of keeping the Passover?

1Co 11:23-26 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

Even after Jesus’ attention, the disciples and the early church kept the Passover as Jesus commanded. We must keep the Passover of the New Covenant. The fact that WMSCOG keeps the Passover of the New Covenant as God commanded means that WMSCOG is the only true church, not the heretical church.
