Before WMSCOG (World Mission Society Church of God), I didn’t realize the existence of Melchizedek. Someone might say, “We can be saved if we only believe in Christ Jesus. Salvation has nothing to do with the Passover.” Is it true? He has never heard about Melchizedek and this insistence comes just from not knowing what kind of priest Jesus is. The Old Testament prophesied that a priest like Melchizedek would appear.

Ps 110:4 The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

Who actually fulfilled this prophecy? It was Christ Jesus, Who came in the flesh and set up the Passover, keeping this with bread and wine to fulfill the prophecy of a priest Melchizedek, as saying, “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek”(Heb 5:6~7)

Why does the Bible refer to Jesus as the high priest in the order of Melchizedek? It’s because Jesus Christ blesses us in the same way as Melchizedek did in the Old Testament times that Melchizedek blessed Abraham with bread and wine. Thus the reason Jesus Christ commanded His disciples to prepare the Passover with bread and wine is to fulfill the prophecy of Melchizedek.
Let’s think the current times of the Holy Spirit. Since the Passover was abolished by the Roman Catholic, no one could observe the Passover. In result all men are destined to die and hurled into the pain of death.
Therefore we have to keep the Passover of the New Covenant, following the examples the Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong Who restored the Passover, eating bread and drinking wine so that we can receive the forgiveness of sins and be freed from the danger of death, and recognizing the reality of Melchizedek of Christ Ahnsahnghong to enter the heavenly kingdom.
