In the science class of the secondary school, we learned about the structure of the body such as the bones, skin, tissue, muscle, nerve as well as the organs. The science teacher told us that the body was composed of the different kinds of substance and element, and moreover the numbers of the bones were 206 in one body.
While listening to the explanation, one of my friends raised her hand and asked a question.
“Ms. White, I’m curious about the number of bones between ‘Man’ and ‘Woman’. The ribs of a man are one more than those of a woman, aren’t they?”
“No, they are not! The ribs of human being are the 12 pairs of curved bones that surround the chest.” she answered in a friendly way.
My friend alleged again, “I heard the church leader of mine saying that since a woman was formed from the rib God had taken out of a man, so the man’s ribs are one more than the woman’s.”
We were almost likely to believe her allegations, because she was using the quotation the Bible. It sounded quite reliable.
Ms. White kept a silence for a while, and explained quietly.
“Do you really believe that the ribs of a woman are one less than those of a man? If you take an x-ray of your chest, you will find out the result; Human being has the same number of ribs.”
All of us became puzzled and embarrassed, not being aware of the situation.
How was it then?
What was wrong with our conception?
Biologically the explanation of the teacher was right, based on the science knowledge.
Why did God say that way?
He created a woman from the rib God had taken out of a man?
What does the creation of ‘Man and Woman’ represent?
Genesis 2:18~23 The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’, for she was taken out of man.”
Since then, it had been a mystery before I attended WMSCOG. Even God had Adam give the name ‘Eve’ to a woman who was made from the man, whereas God Himself named Adam. Furthermore Adam designated her as ‘The mother of all the living’. (Genesis 3:20)
Although Eve virtually gave birth to sons; Cain and Abel, and Seth and some children, how come she could become the mother of the living? It had been an additional mystery as well as like riddle for me.
Eventually I found the exact answer to understand the administrations that God had implemented from the creation of ‘Man and Woman’.
According to the Bible, the first man Adam became a living being whereas the last Adam would be a life-giving spirit.
Besides Adam was assigned as the pattern of the one to come who is the second coming Jesus in the last age. (Romans 5:14)
On the other hand, the last Adam is the Holy Spirit and the last Eve; His helper is the Bride, promising to come to give salvation to those who are waiting for Her.
Therefore when God brought Eve to Adam, he said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’, for she was taken out of man.”
It means that only the last Adam; Christ Ahnsahnghong testifies about the last Eve; the Bride and designate Her as our “God the Mother”.
No others can do so!
Revelations 22:17The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wished, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
The World Mission Society Church of God(WMSCOG), believing in “God the Mother”, are practicing the love of “God the Mother” and showing Her favor based on the philanthropy.
