The Most Beautiful Word is ……
How do you feel when you hear or listen the word Mother? Comfort? Confession? Thank? Or sacrifice? Most people may have the complex emotions and thoughts.
According to a British Council Survey of over 40,000 people in oversea in 24 November 2004, Mother has been put on the list as the most beautiful one of words in English language. The word Mother is not fashionable and glamorous word. However, when people were children, grow up, and will get older, it represents the special meanings. Almost they can get comfortable, cozy through Mother and are longing for Mother. It is our basic instinct for Mother.
Why was the word Mother selected on the most beautiful word? It’s not simple answer. We can get it through the Bible. Have you ever thought that why God made the existence of Mother? Earthly ones are a copy and a shadow of the heavenly ones.(Heb 8:5) He created the physical mother as a copy and a shadow of the spiritual Mother to help us understand Her. So, the Bible lets us know that we, the children of God, have the spiritual Mother as well as the spiritual Father.
Gal 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
Who is the Jerusalem that is above? The answer is our mother. That is, the children of God have the spiritual Mother. If we deny Her, we can’t be saved. Likewise, the churches that deny Her is the churches that do not follow the Bible. In them, there is No salvation.
God has put the truth of it in the word “Mother”. It’s the Providence of God. In addition we can see Her in Genesis.
Ge 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, …
God said “Us” and “Our”, a plural word. If God was only one, why didn’t God say the singular form?
Ge 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
We can understand there are two images of God through the verse: male and female.
For ages people have called the male image of God God the Father(the spiritual Father). How can we call the female image of God? Shouldn’t we call Her God the Mother(the spiritual Mother)? The churches have a fixed idea that only God the Father is. But the Bible teaches us that God the Mother is and in the last age She will appear with God the Father.
Rev 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
Only God can give the eternal life and the forgiveness of sins.(Jn 4:14, Mk 2:5) Therefore, the spirit and the bride are Gods. The spirit represents God the Father as the Trinity. If so, how can we call the bride of God the Father? Of course, God the Mother!
Only those who come to God the Father and God the Mother can get the gift of God to go to heaven. Let’s have a faith to God the Mother as well as God the Father!
