Right. Through the Bible, God taught us that our goal of faith is eternal life. Human beings must die because of their sin committed in Heaven. For saving these miserable sinners, God came to the earth and opened the way to eternal life. God gave us eternal life by sacrificing Himself. If you long for eternal life, you should follow the way to eternal life which God taught through the words of the Bible.

The reason we believe in God and read the Bible is to get salvation at last.
so then, we must realize will of God who has right to give us salvation.
2,000 years ago, Jesus opened the way for us to get salvation through the Passover of the new covenant which he established with his great sacrifices on the cross. Jesus said that he eagerly desired to keep the Passover before he suffered. We have to think about this matters so that we can understand how much he wanted us to keep the Passover!
