Ps 90:10 The length of our days is seventy years-- or eighty, if we have the strength;
yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.


Life is very short and full of pain and difficulties.
Human life can be said that a being towards death.


Why should we live full of pain and finally face death? And where are we from and
where are we going to after that?
In order to answer these profound questions, we should know about the soul first.


1. Where were we before coming to the earth and where are we going to after death?

A living man is a combination of body and spirit. (Ge 2:7)
When a man died, the spirit RETURNS to where it came from, Heaven. (Ecc 12:7)
It means that we were heavenly angels in Heaven before we came down to the earth,
and our soul will return to Heaven after death.


2. Why did we come to the earth?

Lk 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."
Mt 9:13... For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."


According to the two verses about Jesus' saying, it is clear that we were lost from
Heaven because of our sins. We were sinners in Heaven.


3. How can we return to our heavenly hometown?

Since we came to the earth because of our heavy sins, we can go back to Heaven when our sins are washed away.

Then, how can we have the forgiveness of our sins, and who is the one who allows us the forgiveness of sins?
