The Day of Ascension, which means ascending to heaven, in the Bible it means to ascend to heaven without experience of death. It has a different meaning from the resurrection, where you believe in God and dies, then come back to life.
World Mission Society Church of God prepares the Day of Ascension after keeping the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Day of Resurrection starting with the Passover.
As well as Jesus, you can find records of Elijah who ascended on fire horses and chariots (2King 2:1~7, 8-11), and Enoch who walked with God and ascended to heaven(Gen 5:21~24).
The only record of Jesus' ascension is the record of Acts chapter 1. Jesus was doomed to the cross who was resurrected on the third day as prophesied, appeared to his disciples and informed them of the work of the kingdom of God in detail. And on the 40th day from His resurrection, he was lifted up to heaven on the Mount of Olives in front of the disciples. (Act 1:1~11)

He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
These are the words of Jesus before the ascension.
The day to commemorate this miracle day is the Day of Ascension.

God has blessed us to be saved through the Bible. We can learn the wisdom of salvation through God's teachings in the Bible. All of them are related with the eternal salvation. God has set us examples so that we may conceive the heavenly hope. On of them is the Day of Ascension. Whoever follows God to the end will enter the kingdom of God, being clothed with the imperishable. We'll surely join this glory when we stand firm to the end. Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother will help us when we listen to Them.
How wonderful would we be if we were resurrected like a Jesus? I am so happy to imagine. Let's work hard today for we look at the day to be resurrected.
We can ascend to heaven like Jesus. Even though we are living on this earth and we cannot fly. We will transform ourselves and ascend to heaven. How wonderful! Let's obey God's all teachings and confirm the fulfillment of the prophecies.
Jesus always showed his disciples firsthand what to do.
The same goes for ascension. We cannot ascend ourselves. However, if we follow the path Jesus taught us, we can ascend to heaven just like Jesus.
The things Jesus showed the disciples were the examples that his children should follow like him and would be like him. So the scene Jesus ascended is the scene we will be ascended like him in the last time. So do not forget the hope for heaven, our sporitual hometown.
As Jesus ascend to heaven, we also will ascend to heaven at last day. Because we received eternal life though the Passover New covenant. We will change to angels and live forever in kingdom of heaven.
