Those who deny the Passover, saying, “The Passover was abolished and we no longer keep it”, is also denying the Bible and the teachings of Jesus as well. In the Old Testament times God the Father sent Moses to Egypt to deliver the Israel people from the slavery land to Canaan through the Passover. According to the Book of Hebrew, it is copy and shadow of what Jesus would do in the New Testament times. (Heb 8:5)

Ex 12: 5:12 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and ou may take them from the sheep or the goats. Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. This is how you are to eat it: with your belt tucked into your bel, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste; it is the LORD’s Passover.

As the change of the priesthood from the Old Testament to the New Testament, keeping the Passover, there is the distinctive change of the method to observe the Passover.


Mt 26:26~28 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying “Take and eat: this is my body.” Then he took the cup[wine], gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

In the New Covenant, there is no more the animals’ blood of sacrifice, rather Jesus’ blood. By observing the Passover Jesus Christ let His people inherit His flesh and blood through which we can be saved and get eternal life. Also God’s children will be freed from the spiritual land of slaver and be led to the Heavenly Kingdom. Setting free from the danger of death is the ultimate goal for the children of God Elohim and utmost happiness going into the heavenly hometown where there is no more mourn, sorrow or pain, where our Heavenly Parents are waiting us.
